Industrial sheet drawer rack for two-side material transfer near laser cutting lines

Industrial Sheet Drawer Rack for Two-Side Material Transfer Near Laser Cutting Lines

Built for sheet metal shops that need tight-width installation, manual heavy-duty drawers, and clean material transfer from both sides of the rack.

JUMPWAY CO., LTD needed a rack that matched the real movement of sheet stock around a laser cutting station. Three sheet sizes had to be stored in one compact area. Forklift loading had to happen from one side. Sheet pickup had to happen from the other side for the next production step. That kind of workflow needs a rack with better drawer control, open lifting space above, and a frame that stays stable without wasting width.

  • Two-side access for forklift feed and opposite-side sheet transfer.
  • Manual crank drawer operation for heavier daily handling.
  • Compact rack structure shaped for machine-side staging areas.

Why this layout works beside a cutting line

This rack is arranged around the job on the floor, not around generic storage habits. Material comes in from the forklift side, then gets picked from the opposite side for cutting. The upper area has to stay open enough for overhead lifting, so bulky top framing would only get in the way. A detachable frame, reinforced joints, and controlled drawer stroke make the rack fit the process instead of fighting it.

Manual steel sheet rack with open top access for overhead lifting

Clearer material flow

Loading and pickup happen from different sides, which helps keep the cutting station less crowded during routine production.

Better control under load

Crank-driven drawer movement and side limit protection help operators handle heavy sheet loads with steadier travel.

Compact fit beside equipment

The rack stays within the site width boundary while still providing a useful staging point next to the machine.

Key project details

  • Three sheet sizes need organized separation in one rack area.
  • The frame uses detachable members for shipment and installation.
  • Triangular connection parts improve frame stability.
  • Both sides use limit protection to keep drawer travel safer.
  • Wrapped export packing is available, with wooden case packing as an added protection option.

That mix of limits is what makes this a production rack, not just a storage frame. If the access direction is wrong or the top gets blocked, the whole cutting area slows down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this rack really support two-side material handling?
Yes. That is one of the main reasons for using this layout next to a cutting line.

Why use crank-operated drawers?
Because repeated heavy sheet handling needs steadier control than a plain pull-out drawer usually offers.

Will overhead lifting still work?
Yes. The upper layout is intended to stay friendlier to crane-based pickup.

Can packing be upgraded for export transport?
Yes. Standard wrapped packing can be upgraded to wooden case packing when surface protection becomes more important.
