industrielle Blechregale

Forklifts are excellent tools, but they have a fatal flaw when handling sheet metal: they require massive aisles. If you are maneuvering a 6-meter bundle of steel with a forklift, you effectively shut down a huge section of your factory floor just to move one item.

The smarter alternative is overhead handling. However, standard shelving prevents this because you can’t lift vertically out of a shelf. Our industrielle Blechregale solve this geometry problem. By featuring drawers that extend 100% clear of the rack structure, they allow overhead cranes, vacuum lifters, and magnetic hoists to access materials directly, eliminating the need for forklifts in your processing zone.

Aufsteigung bringt den entscheidenden vorteil

In heavy fabrication, the safest way to move steel is straight up. Sliding sheets horizontally out of a pigeon-hole rack requires manual prying and dragging, which is the leading cause of back injuries and material scratches.

The core innovation of the Dplarack system is its compatibility with your existing overhead crane infrastructure. Because the drawer cranks out completely (past the face of the columns), there is no overhead obstruction. An operator can lower a vacuum lifter directly onto the center of the sheet, engage the suction, and lift. This process is:

  • Safer: No hands touch the sharp edges of the metal.
  • Faster: A single operator can load a laser machine in under 90 seconds.
  • Gentler: Zero friction between sheets implies zero surface damage.

Overcoming the “50% Extension” Trap

Many competitors offer “roll-out” racks that only extend 50% or 70%. Be careful with these specifications. If a drawer only comes out halfway, you cannot use a crane to pick up the back half of the sheet. You are forced to drag the sheet forward manually until it clears the shelf—defeating the entire purpose of the rack. Our industrielle Blechregale are engineered for 100% full extension, ensuring total access to the entire surface area of the plate.

Designed for the Heavyweights

Crane loading often involves high dynamic forces. Dropping a 3-ton bundle of steel onto a rack creates a shock load that light-duty shelving cannot survive.

heavy duty bearing system

Our heavy-duty bearing blocks are designed to absorb the impact of crane loading without deformation.

We build our structures to withstand the realities of crane operation:

  • Aufprall: null. We use Q235 Carbon Steel H-beams that can handle the minor impacts and vibrations typical of overhead loading.
  • Stability: The base is anchored with chemical bolts to ensure that even when a full drawer is cantilevered out, the unit remains rigid.
  • Safety Stops: Heavy-duty mechanical stops prevent the drawer from over-traveling, ensuring it stops exactly where the crane needs it.

Reclaiming Your Aisles

Consider the “dead space” required for a forklift to turn 90 degrees with a 4×8 sheet. It is enormous—often 4 to 5 meters wide. By switching to crane-accessible storage racks, you can narrow your aisles significantly. The rack only needs enough frontal clearance for the drawer to open. The crane moves above the aisle, not in it. This simple change allows many shops to fit an extra machine line into their existing building.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

1. Can I use magnetic lifters with this rack?
Yes. Magnetic lifters are heavy and require vertical clearance. Because our drawers extend fully, you have ample space to lower a permanent magnet or electromagnet onto the steel plate without hitting the rack structure.

2. Why is 100% extension important for crane use?
If a drawer doesn’t open 100%, the shelf above blocks the crane’s hook path to the rear of the sheet. You would have to drag the sheet out manually, which is dangerous. 100% extension allows the crane to lift the sheet’s center of gravity directly.

3. How hard is it to crank a drawer that is fully loaded?
Despite the weight (up to 5,000kg), the gear reduction ratio is high. It typically takes about 15-20kg of force to start the movement, which is easily manageable for an average adult. Once moving, it requires even less force.

4. Can this rack be placed against a wall?
Yes. Unlike our dual-directional models, our standard single-direction models are perfect for wall placement. You load and unload from the front, maximizing the use of perimeter space where forklifts might struggle to reach but wall-mounted jib cranes work perfectly.

5. What safety features prevent the rack from tipping when a heavy drawer is open?
We use a mandatory “One-Drawer-Only” interlock mechanism. This physical lock ensures that you cannot open a second drawer until the first one is fully closed. This keeps the unit’s center of gravity safe and stable at all times.
